From a Master's thesis to a global software company — the Docusoft story.

Dec 2002

Managing Director Shekhar Chauhan finished his Masters Thesis on Document Management at Coventry University, laying the foundation for what would become Docusoft.

2003

First DMS customer went live — marking the beginning of Docusoft's commercial journey in document management.

2004

First accountancy customer went live, establishing Docusoft's presence in the professional services sector.

2005

First Insolvency customer — expanding into the insolvency and restructuring market.

2006

First European customer (Southern Ireland) — Docusoft's first expansion beyond the UK.

2008

First Cyprus customer — further expanding the European footprint.

2009

Secure portal released — enabling secure client document sharing and collaboration.

2012

Version 7 On-Premise DMS accredited by ICAEW — a major milestone validating Docusoft's technology for the accountancy profession.

2013

First South African customer — entering the African market.

2015

First Health Insurance customer — diversifying into the healthcare and insurance sectors.

2018

Cloud DMS & Portal development started (CloudFiler) — the beginning of Docusoft's cloud-native transformation.

2019

First Cloud customer — validating the cloud strategy. Practice App development began.

2020

First Practice App sold — expanding the mobile ecosystem for Docusoft clients.

2021

First USA customer — entering the North American market.

2023

USA office opened in Florida. Launched new products including InfoManager, DocuEngager, and DocuExtract.

2025

Practice Management solution development — building the next generation of practice management software.

2026

Practice Manager released, first customer onboarded — a major new product milestone for Docusoft.
